A warm welcome to Kind Hand Ministries Uganda (KHMU), a community-based organization driven by a deep commitment to positive change in Bugiri, Eastern Uganda. Founded by Mwidu Rashidi and Nambiro Mukisa Socretes, our mission is to empower vulnerable individuals and foster sustainable community development. Registered in 2018 (NGO REG. NO BMC 702/128), we are creating opportunities and building a brighter future for the region.

A Place to Call Home
At Kind Hand Ministries Uganda, we believe every child deserves a seat at the table and a safe place to sleep. Every single day, we provide nutritious meals and consistent care to children who once faced the uncertainty of hunger.
Currently, our children are housed in a rented shelter, managed through a disciplined three-month rolling lease policy. While this provides immediate safety, the instability of renting means we are constantly working against the clock to ensure our "little ones" never lose their roof.

We make sure no child’s special day goes unnoticed, celebrating each life with songs, treats, and love.

From communal play to educational milestones, our center is a place where laughter is loud and hope is tangible.
The Vision: From Renting to Rooted
Our current rental model is a bridge, not the destination. Our primary goal is to purchase our own land and construct a permanent orphanage. By owning our own home, we can:

Eliminate rental costs and redirect those funds into better nutrition and education.

Expand our capacity to rescue more children from the streets.

Create a permanent sanctuary that belongs to the children, giving them true stability for the first time in their lives.

Our Agriculture Program.
Agriculture To End Hunger
Hello friends here is our agriculture project that we have started with an aim of increasing in food supply for our children and poor families, which will lower our food prices. Our poor children will benefit the most because the organisation spend a much greater share of it's income on food and yet we haven't been recieving donations lately so we came up with this idea.

We are always here for everyone in every season. We are grateful to all people who have stood with us to make sure we provide guidance and counseling to the children who are victims of disabilities, early pregnancy, orphans, the defiled, school dropouts and childmarriage. How ever, we need to also stand withthose in great need of basic necessities. Your generous support and prayers towards John is greatly appreciated and put to good use now he has a wheelchair. Our Feeding Programme:
After knowing that children's bodies require a constant supply of nutrients to function optimally and knowing that food provides the energy and building blocks necessary for growth. We give children all meals they are supposed to get, breakfast ,lunch and supper. We provide this feeding programme both in school and at the Orphanage. This has helped in improving concentration and educational performance in school. It has improved children's energy levels, which helps them focus in class and perform much better in their assignments
